Willow and her puppies were rescued when her owner died and came into AAR care, she did a wonderful job taking care of her puppies, despite having Mastitis. Fortunately they were old enough to have puppy food to allow Willow not to keep the milk bar open and help her recover.
Willow was neutered so she doesn't have to go through this again
After a time in a foster home, Willow was transferred to kennels with a couple of her pups (who had no adoption offer) as no foster homes could be found.
Willow has had a complicated medical history since rescue, despite multiple vet visits and different antibiotics she has had a recurring infected cyst on her side that had not responded to treatment. AAR escalated her treatment with a CT scan and we discovered that there were multiple cysts, abscesses and infections inside her body, which require surgery and hospitalization.
Willow is a friendly and loving girl, she loves cuddles and socializing with other dogs. As Willow is used to living in the countryside she would be looking for a home in the countryside, preferably with other dogs in the home.
Willow will need a safe place to recover when she comes out of her hospital stay and a foster carer who can support Willow with her post-operative care and take her to follow-up vet visits.
