Meet Trippel, one of our permanent fosters
Click on an image to enlarge the picture or play the videoTrippel was found in Riogordo campo by one of AAR’s Dutch volunteers. He was very thin & hungry, and looking for scraps of food near her house, so she gave him a little meal. He was wet and dirty because of the rainy weather. She made him a little warm tent and bed in her garden which he loved and went in right away.
Trippel went into kennels and was found to be suffering from severe neurological problems. He started snapping at the air and being very distressed. He has undergone numerous tests, MRI scan and has regular checks with a neurologist. He is reasonably stable on medication but often has relapses. He is in an experienced foster home and has made amazing progress.Due to the unpredictable nature of Trippel problems, the decision was made to keep him in permanent foster where his ongoing and extremely expensive medical care could be funded by AAR. He is, settled and with an experienced foster carer. He is much calmer and very happy with his doggy siblings and mostly enjoys a good quality of life.
